Upgrade from Proxy Server 2.0 on Windows NT
- Backup old configuration
- Disconnect from internet
- Stop all Proxy 2.0 services
- Remove Proxy Server from Array if set up
- Upgrade install to Windows 2000
- Install Windows 2000 SP1 (or later)
- Install ISA Server 2000
Cache Files and Socks rules do not transfer over
Troubleshooting ISA Installation
- Unable to access internet after install - by design, everything blocked by default
- Error messages appear during install - use removal tool and clean install \i386\RMISA.EXE
- Users accessing websites without access rules - Check LAT
- After proxy upgrade users can’t access internet - proxy clients uses port 80 ISA uses 8080
